Posting Assistant · Pro

Type the car once. List it on every marketplace.

Last updated

The GARAGEBIRDS Posting Assistant is a Chrome extension for car dealers that autofills vehicle listings on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, eBay Motors, Cars.com, AutoTrader and other listing sites, straight from the car’s record in GARAGEBIRDS — details, asking price and photos.

No more retyping the same VIN, mileage and description into five different forms. Open the marketplace, press Fill, check it, publish. GARAGEBIRDS then keeps track of every listing, and reminds you to update each one when the price drops or the car sells.

Every marketplace your buyers use

Different cars sell on different sites. The Posting Assistant autofills each site’s own listing form, so you can put every car where its buyers are looking:

How it works: four steps from record to live listing

  1. Press Post on the car in GARAGEBIRDS. The assistant opens beside the page in Chrome, already signed in as you.
  2. Pick the photos and their order. The assistant shows what it will use from the record and flags anything a marketplace usually asks for that the car doesn’t have yet — before a buyer notices it’s missing.
  3. Open the marketplace and press Fill. The title, details, price, description and photos go into the site’s own form, cover photo first. Change anything you like — it stays your listing, in your words.
  4. Publish, and paste the link back. You press the marketplace’s own publish button. The listing is now saved on the car’s record, under that marketplace.

Fills what it knows, leaves the rest to you

The assistant fills a box only when it is certain which box it is, and it never overwrites anything you’ve already typed. Anything it leaves is marked for you, so nothing goes out half-right. If a site’s page won’t take the autofill, the assistant switches to manual on its own: every field with its own Copy button, Copy all in one click, and the photos downloaded in your order, named for the car. Either way, the car is never typed out from scratch.

Sold cars come down. Price drops go out everywhere.

A car listed on four sites is four listings to keep honest. GARAGEBIRDS keeps each one on the car’s record with its marketplace and its link — one listing per car on each marketplace, so nothing gets posted twice by accident. Change the asking price, or sell the car, and GARAGEBIRDS reminds you to update or take down each listing, so buyers aren’t calling about a car that left the lot last week.

Your costs and customers stay in GARAGEBIRDS

A listing carries only what a buyer should see: the car’s details, its asking price, the photos you choose and your dealership’s public city, state and ZIP. What you paid, your margin, your customers and your deals stay in GARAGEBIRDS. The assistant works from its own side panel, so the marketplace page never sees your inventory — and every listing goes live only when you press publish, on your own account. The assistant never publishes, edits or removes a listing for you.

Questions

What is the GARAGEBIRDS Posting Assistant?

A Chrome extension for car dealers that autofills vehicle listings on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, eBay Motors, Cars.com, AutoTrader and other sites from the car’s record in GARAGEBIRDS, a dealer management system for independent dealers. You review each listing and publish it yourself.

Which marketplaces does it work with?

Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, OfferUp, eBay Motors, Cars.com, AutoTrader and Amazon Autos, plus any other site you sell on. On each one it autofills the site’s own listing form, photos included.

How do I post a car to Facebook Marketplace as a dealer without retyping it?

Add the car to GARAGEBIRDS once, press Post, open Facebook Marketplace’s vehicle listing form and press Fill. The Posting Assistant puts in the details, asking price and photos from the record; you check it and publish on your personal account.

Can I post to Craigslist from my dealer software?

Yes, with GARAGEBIRDS Pro. Open the car, press Post, open Craigslist’s posting form and press Fill: the title, price, details, description and photos go in from the vehicle record. Review it and publish.

Does it publish listings for me?

You stay in control: the assistant autofills the form, and you press the marketplace’s own publish button, on your own account. It never submits a form, and never edits or removes a listing.

Is it an inventory feed to Cars.com or AutoTrader?

It’s a faster way to post each car yourself: on Cars.com and AutoTrader, as on every other site, the assistant autofills the listing form from the vehicle record. There’s no feed to set up, and you choose exactly which cars go where.

What happens to my listings when a car sells?

Each listing is saved on the car’s record with its marketplace and link. When the car sells or its price changes, GARAGEBIRDS reminds you to update or take down every listing it has.

What if a site’s form doesn’t autofill?

The assistant switches to manual: every field has its own Copy button, Copy all puts the whole listing on your clipboard, and the photos download in your order.

Does it work on a Mac or in other browsers?

It works in Google Chrome on a Windows PC, Mac or Chromebook. GARAGEBIRDS itself runs in a web browser, with nothing to install.

How much does it cost?

The extension is free to install; posting with it is part of GARAGEBIRDS Pro, $49 a month billed yearly ($588 a year), or $59 billed monthly. An admin can try Pro free for 14 days from Billing in the app, with no card.
